With ten bedrooms accommodating 19 guests, Burpham Country House is an ideal size for weddings, corporate events, sporting parties, reunions and other groups. We can also cater for up to 40 guests in our restaurant and conservatory, 20 in each seating area or 40 standing for cocktail events.  We also offer more intimate private dining for 2-8 people. Our events range from anniversary and birthday lunches to wedding receptions as well as corporate meetings.

We specialize in group dining for up to 20 people in our conservatory, for special occasions such as anniversaries. You can agree a menu with us, and have the tables decorated to suit, as well as arranging for flowers, drinks and canapes, and decorated cakes as required.

We offer you the entire house on a two-night basis for larger events, typically on a Friday-Sunday.  One-night exclusive bookings are available mid-week. A typical use might be for a sporting party or for wedding accommodation where you can reserve the house but ask your relatives or guests to pay for their rooms individually. We do allow children for exclusive use events, but you must bring your own equipment including child-safe cots.

Exclusive use allows you to organize the use of the house exactly as you wish. This can include pre-dinner drinks in the lounge, canapes, dinner, post-dinner coffee and drinks, flowers, breakfast arrangements and room decorations. We work with you to arrange the entire weekend. In the case of sporting parties we store your equipment securely for you and liaise with the shoot regarding pickups.

A typical high season weekend price for reserving the whole house is about £1250 per night including VAT, depending on whether the restaurant is open. You can book on a rooms-only or full dining basis.

Additional fees vary depending on your arrangements for catering, and waiting staff, so please contact us for further details. We can make all arrangements on your behalf, or work with and your suppliers to ensure that your dream comes to life. Special arrangements can include, for example:

	Laying a dance floor in the conservatory
	Arrangement of live music or disco ( until 12.00 p.m.)
	Taxis and limos or special cars
	Guest gifts such as champagne, chocolates, flowers
	Booking the village hall for larger dances
	Putting additional z-beds in rooms to accommodate extra guests
	Putting a marquee on the cricket pitch for larger receptions.

Our chef is delighted to offer you superb dining from a carefully selected Menu. We take great pride in offering a genuine taste of Sussex, sourcing our ingredients locally to ensure freshness and low food miles. We cook seasonally and with pride in the excellence of our local ingredients such as Sussex lamb, beef and pork, local game in season, Fish fresh from the coast and locally grown fruit and vegetables.

We are also proud to showcase local specialities and produce from small suppliers across all our menus. A full wine menu featuring stunning wines from across the world at a range of prices is available including prize-winning wines from local vineyards. We work with you to tailor your event to your needs. From the flowers to the champagne to organising tickets for local events, we’ll help to make your occasion truly memorable.

We can help you to work within your chosen budget, for a buffet or a seated meal, by offering menu choices from £21.00 to £60.00

We work with you to select a choice of wines and canapés, typically for the following:

	Pre-meal drinks on arrival, normally champagne, Buck’s Fizz or white wine
	Pre-meal canapé trays
	Drinks with meal
	Toasts
	Table water
	Open or cash bar, pre-meal or post-meal (you can set your own limits)

As a guide, our house Champagne Autreau Roualet Brut N.V. is currently offered at £27.00 per bottle, while Bollinger Special Cuvee N.V. is £42.50.  The bar offers a choice of spirits, lager and beer.

We are licensed until 12.00pm

Ground floor public rooms can all accommodate wheelchairs, and we offer a ground floor twin bedroom.  The bathroom is up three steps with handrail.
